ABOUT US
We are a non-profit organisation who aim to improve the lives of the children at Mutake School. We do this through environmental and infrastructural developments. We also provide medical aid where we can and put the children's wellbeing and education at the forefront of what we do.
"I approached the school to see what assistance I might be able to provide knowing the difficulties rural schools have to overcome. I discovered that the school had no running water and at that time there were approximately 700 primary aged children attending the school with only a handful of teachers to meet their needs. I began to help in little ways like sponsoring a child, paying their school fees so that they could attend school and receive an education where it would not have been possible due to the levels of poverty experienced by the families"

Yolanda
Our lead trustee discovered the school while hiking in the area in 2008. She soon discovered the limited resources available to the students. Since then, Yolanda has worked tirelessly to get the charity officially registered, which she achieved in 2020. Yolanda also oversees mamy of the operations in Zimbabwe, including the delivery of medication and gifts purchased by our donors.

Our secretary works tirelessly to ensure that every donation and penny goes towards the betterment of the school. From handling the paperwork to managing the finances, we are committed to transparency and accountability.

As the social media manager for Friends of Mutake School, I have the privilege of sharing the amazing work this charity does with people all over the world. Every day, our team is dedicated to supporting and enhancing the education provided to the students in Mutake School. Our mission is to ensure that every student has access to the resources they need to reach their full potential, and we rely on the generosity of our supporters to make this happen.
